To support and strengthen those who are sick, the Church gathers to pray and anoint those who are ailing with the healing oil of the sick. This oil symbolizes the presence of God at a time of great physical and emotional need and assures the recipient of God's love and healing presence.
We celebrate this sacrament with a special anointing mass every year. Anyone who is suffering from a mental or physical illness or who will undergoing surgery or serious medical procedures is invited to attend this mass with family and friends.

The sacrament of anointing of the sick is available by appointment to anyone indvidually who is in critical need . Please call the parish office at (570) 342-4881 to schedule a visit by the pastor or assisting priest.
