Confirmation leads to a fuller, more conscientious and willing participation in the Eucharist. Preparation for this sacrament is meant to help the candidate better understand his/her relationship to God and to the Church community.
Confirmation is a two-year program mandated by the Diocese of Scranton.Confirmation candidates can begin this program either in CCD at Mary, Mother of God Parish; or if they attend Catholic school, in their religion classes.
Catholic school students will meet with a parish instructor for four sessions during the year in which Confirmation occurs. More information is available in the religious education handbook located on the faith formation tab of this website.
Confirmation will be administered at Mary, Mother of God Parish every year for eighth grade students. Call the parish office at (570) 342-4881 for more information.
